Job Description:

bcdemocracy’s mission is to build a more trusted democratic process through blockchain technology. As we grow to achieve that mission, we’re seeking an experienced Full Stack Engineer to join our blockchain architecture team.

Responsibilities include participation in the entire software development lifecycle from design to creation, ownership, and support. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical foundation in developing distributed systems, experience supporting complex products, and a passion for driving planning, prioritization and program execution.

Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with the CTO to develop code and build the architecture strategy and best practices
  • Develop code, creates and fix product features
  • Assist with the digital architecture vision for shared infrastructure, platform services, and the design patterns related to them
  • Work collaboratively development teams and product management to define requirements and design new features for product users
  • Provide technical leadership across the company
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Passionate about local government and innovation
  • Experience in blockchain, including a strong understanding of cryptographic protocols and blockchain implementation; Hyperledger Fabric experience preferred
  • Experience analyzing, designing, implementing, and maintaining a highly-scalable multi-party blockchain
  • Has a comprehensive understanding of MEAN, MERN, and other emerging open source technologies
  • Has experience with large public cloud providers such as Azure, AWS or GCP
  • A security-first mindset with a comprehensive understanding of regulated environments, systems security and privacy
  • A lifelong learner with an appetite for change
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • You are a good communicator and self-motivator who can operate in a highly entrepreneurial environment
